Nancy Van der Veken, known as Baddie Mi, now lives in Marbella, Spain, and says she has even bigger plans for her future, including building a cat sanctuary with her earnings.
“I’m 52 now, so I’m not the youngest no more,” Nancy told NudeNewz.
“I have a lot of competition out there, but I try to stay young because in my mind I’m very young.”
Nancy first sold nudes online back in 2008 through MySpace, but stopped when she feared being recognised.
She later returned to the adult creator world after her marriage ended and she was left needing to support her children alone.
“I was like, how am I going to feed my kids?” she said.
“I’d always been a housewife and we had a really high lifestyle because he was very wealthy.”
Nancy, originally from the Antwerp area of Belgium, moved to Spain around 22 years ago with her ex-husband and their children.
After the split, she tried to rebuild her life as an artist, working with Swarovski crystals and eventually opening her own gallery in Marbella.
But her business was wiped out when COVID hit.
“I’ve lost so much money,” Nancy said.
“All my savings, everything was in that art gallery and I was only open for like eight months before the pandemic came.”
By 2021, she says she was desperate for a fresh start, when she met an Icelandic OnlyFans creator who showed her what was possible.
The woman claimed she made as much as £96,000 a month at her peak.
“I was like, what? Yeah, sign me up, I’m doing this,” Nancy said.
Nancy launched her OnlyFans in December 2021, creating her alter ego Baddie Mi.
At first, she says she was terrified of being spotted.
“In the beginning, I changed my face so much in my pictures because I was scared that somebody would recognise me,” she said.
But as her confidence grew, Nancy began investing heavily in her appearance, spending between £40,000 and £50,000 on surgery including a BBL and liposuction.
“I’m without a car, but I’ve got the body, you know, so I had to choose the car or the body,” she said.
“It’s an investment and it’s well worth it.”
What sets Nancy apart, however, is how she promotes herself online.
She uses an AI version of herself for social media, while keeping her subscription content rooted in reality.
“I use one photo, I alter the photo, and then I shape the body because a basic AI model is skinny,” she explained.
“I don’t want to pay £800 a month for a proper program, so I just do it my way.”
Nancy insists she is careful not to mislead anyone.
“I’m a genuine, honest person like that,” she said.
“When you come to my OnlyFans, the first thing you get is a real picture of me.”
She believes AI is now the key to getting attention online.
“I think they’re pushing AI if it’s labelled,” Nancy said.
“Thirst traps don’t work no more, but AI is working crazy.”
Despite her success, Nancy says her biggest motivation is not fame or luxury, but animal rescue.
She already cares for 18 cats and three dogs at her mountain home, and says her income goes straight back into supporting them.
“All of my money goes to the animals, I’m telling you,” she said.
Nancy is now building a sanctuary for sick and abandoned cats, and hopes it will eventually become part of her content too.
“I want to switch it up once my sanctuary is finished,” she explained.
“I want to go more live streaming with the cats, with the animals, showing people positive stories.”
Ultimately, she says she does not see herself staying in the adult industry forever.
“If I could just create my art and sell one art piece a month, I would be through the moon,” she said.
“OnlyFans was a lifesaver for me at the moment, it really helped me and I’m very thankful to my fans and my loyals.”
Now, with her kids aware of what she does and her audience growing across platforms, Nancy says she is focused on stability.
“I have my eggs in different baskets,” she said.
“If something falls through, I can go to the other thing.”
And when it comes to being a 52-year-old in a space dominated by younger women, she has one simple message.
“I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I don’t do drugs,” Nancy said.
“I think the reason why I look still pretty young or younger than 52 is because I don’t poison myself with substances.”
