Model and influencer Cami Strella has opened up about the unconventional relationship she shares with her fiancé, revealing that they both date and sleep with other people, and it’s made their bond stronger than ever.
Cami, who has over 400,000 followers on Instagram and earns around $220,000 a month sharing explicit content online, says what began as a traditional monogamous setup quickly evolved into something much more open.
Cami and Lev Lieben, her partner of four years, initially stuck to exclusivity. But two years in, Cami felt a desire to explore her sexuality more freely and brought up the idea of opening their relationship.
While she admits she struggled at first with the concept of Lev being intimate with other women, she eventually embraced it especially after enjoying the freedom herself, including an overseas trip to Thailand with a lover.
“I wanted to have my cake and eat it, too,” she said, explaining how challenging it was to let go of the idea of sexual exclusivity. However, once she did, it opened up a new level of honesty and connection between the couple.
Now, Cami not only supports Lev’s encounters with others she actively helps him find new partners and has even ended up sleeping with some of the same women he’s dated.
The couple has built their open relationship on total transparency. They talk openly about their romantic and sexual experiences with others, which Cami says has only deepened their own connection.
While sex with other people is fun, she says the intimacy she shares with Lev is in a league of its own more emotional and meaningful than any casual encounter.
Though many would find the setup unconventional, Cami sees value in letting others appreciate her partner and believes sharing him doesn’t take anything away from what they have. She also hopes that by speaking openly about their lifestyle, she can help normalize non-monogamy as a valid option for others.
Autistic and queer, Cami now lives with Lev on the West Coast of the U.S. She was previously pursuing a degree in occupational therapy and neurology before being dismissed from her grad school program during the pandemic, after her online work became public.
While she acknowledges that their lifestyle isn’t for everyone, Cami insists it works for them and has brought a level of intimacy and freedom that few people get to experience.
