Despite being admired by millions online, model Chloe Amour has revealed she still grapples with body image issues and insecurities, admitting that even now, she sometimes hides in oversized jumpers to avoid attention.
The 32-year-old content creator from Los Angeles, who has over 2.1 million Instagram followers (@realchloeamour), says that while her sultry posts help her feel empowered and attractive, her confidence remains a work in progress.
Growing up, Chloe was often teased for being skinny and flat-chested, which left her feeling self-conscious throughout her teens.

She described being a late bloomer with a fast metabolism, saying that her slim figure and hollow face led to her dropping down to a double zero in size.

Though others often complimented her appearance, she said it wasn’t until adulthood that she started feeling more comfortable with her looks.
Still, the attention hasn’t always been easy to handle. Chloe said she lost friends in school because they felt threatened by her looks, and even today, she finds it hard to do simple things like shopping without being approached by strangers.
Women are sometimes wary of her, and men frequently hit on her in public. She also admitted to using facial fillers at one point to enhance her features, though she eventually had them reversed.

Her body began to change in 2020 when she gained around 20 pounds, which transformed her naturally slender frame into a curvier shape.
While the weight gain boosted her bust and hips, she also struggled with the changes in her waist and face.
Clothes that once fit her no longer did, and she admitted feeling upset seeing designer pieces in XXS or XS sizes she could no longer wear. At times, she felt puffy and less confident.

However, posting bold and sexy photos online has helped her reclaim her confidence. She says it feels empowering to receive admiration from both men and women, but the negative thoughts still creep in occasionally, as does her struggle with body dysmorphia.
She believes the growing acceptance of curvier figures in modelling has helped her career, with her fuller body now bringing in more work.
Chloe, who has spoken in the past about her challenges with dating, now has a clearer idea of what she’s looking for in a partner. She says she realised the key to finding love was learning to love herself first.

Now, she values intelligence, emotional maturity, humor, and spiritual depth in a partner more than physical looks. She wants someone who is open-minded, communicative, and secure enough to accept her as she is, flaws and all.
Although she admits she still struggles some days, Chloe now uses her platform to encourage others to embrace their so-called imperfections and stop comparing themselves to unrealistic beauty standards.
She pointed out that much of what people see online is edited or filtered. Her message is simple: “Try to love yourself, because others already see you as beautiful.”
