Laycee Steele, a 32-year-old former nurse from Iowa, has turned a major health and financial crisis into a multi-million dollar success story thanks to her OnlyFans side hustle.
In 2020, she was left with $180,000 in medical debt after doctors discovered multiple non-cancerous growths requiring costly surgery.
With no financial aid available, she began selling adult content online to raise the money, managing to cover half the costs in three months before taking out a second mortgage for the rest.

Once recovered, Laycee kept up her new career and paid off the remaining $90,000 in just six months. Now debt-free and thriving, she earns around $90,000 a month and has built a $2 million net worth.

While she finished her nursing degree and worked in the field for three years, she said the long hours and emotional toll made her realise it wasn’t the life she wanted.
“I was desperate to keep everything I worked for,” she said, explaining how she learned the ropes of content creation by buying guides and connecting with other creators.
Through building a loyal fanbase and staying authentic, her page quickly grew. Today, she travels the world for work and has launched mentoring and networking groups to help other women enter the adult industry.

Laycee shares parts of her journey with her 16,000 Instagram followers (@layceesteele), and while she enjoys her independence, she says she’s open to love but only with someone who can match her pace.
Being single is easier, but I wouldn’t mind finding someone special to share my life with,” she said, adding that any future partner would need to support her lifestyle and be able to travel frequently.
