I’ve made £12m on OnlyFans – men don’t pay for nudes, they pay to be seen,’ says top creator Karley Stokes

In 2018, model Karley Stokes was studying nursing by day and waiting tables by night — until she found a different kind of hustle online.

Experimenting with OnlyFans changed everything, giving her creative freedom and a direct connection to fans that soon became her full-time career.

Karley swapped nursing school for content creation back and it changed her life.

“I was in nursing school and working double shifts at serving jobs. I was burning out,” she told NudeNewz. “Then I heard about OnlyFans, started experimenting, and realised I loved being in control of my own schedule and creative direction.”

The creator, originally from Indiana, says she never expected her side hustle to grow into a full-time career.

“I always say when I started, it was like running a little lemonade stand from my phone,” she laughed. “I’d post and pray it would take off. But over the years, I built systems and learned what worked.”

Now, with over a million subscribers and six years on the platform, Karley’s fanbase remains fiercely loyal – some have been with her since day one.

“Fans don’t buy files,” she said. “They buy to be felt. They want to be seen, to be heard, and that’s what OnlyFans gives them. Some of my fans have been with me six years, they’ve seen me grow up. It’s a relationship.”

Karley’s mother was initially sceptical. “When I started, my mum thought it was illegal,” she laughed. “She didn’t understand it. But now she gets that a lot of men just want to talk. She even said, ‘If I was your age, I’d do it too.’”

Karley says she takes pride in her work and doesn’t feel “degraded” by her job. “I’m proud of myself,” she said. “I always wanted to help people – and I still feel like I do, just in a different way. I make people feel good about themselves.”

She’s also turned her experience into mentorship, running a coaching group of over 500 models. “Networking is everything,” she explained. “We share tips, promote each other, and talk about the platform every day.”

Among her peers, Karley admires creators like Gillianna, Jessica Barton, Brooke Shows and Isla Moon. “I look up to the girls who run their own pages,” she said. “Agencies take so much from the models, but it’s not that hard to do it yourself if you follow a system.”

Despite her huge success, Karley remains grounded – investing her earnings wisely and steering clear of flashy excess. “When I first started making money, I went straight to an accountant,” she said. “I’ve always had a financial advisor. I learned quickly not to play with Bitcoin,” she laughed.

Away from work, Karley keeps active. “I’ve been hitting the gym and playing pickleball – it’s huge in Florida,” she said. “Most of my friends are creators, so even our fun times end up being content trips.”

Her love life, however, hasn’t been as easy. “Dating is hard,” she admitted. “I’ve had exes tell me I’d never find a man who’s okay with my job – but he’s gone. I know women who have supportive husbands, so it’s possible.”

Looking ahead, Karley hopes to stay true to herself. “I don’t feel pressured to do extreme stuff,” she said. “I want to keep doing what I love – being the girlfriend experience from my cam room. That’s who I am.”
