Lori Buckby, one of the original faces of Babestation, says she still gets recognised while doing her weekly food shop, even after 20 years on screen.
The 40-year-old from Northampton became a staple of the adult TV channel in her early twenties, gaining fans who still remember her very first show.
Now with over 7,000 Instagram followers, Lori recalled being spotted in a Tesco aisle by a man who clearly recognised her, though his wife remained unaware.

Encounters like these are common, and while some fans stay quiet, others openly tell her they’ve “seen her before.” She finds most of it amusing, especially when longtime viewers remember her early days.

Lori was headhunted for Babestation after working as a model and quickly adapted to the format, which involved rotating shifts with just a few other women. Back then, she worked five nights a week from 10pm to 3am.
While some callers pushed boundaries, Lori preferred real conversations about everyday topics like football and dinner plans, which helped her stand out.

Not all calls were tame. She’s taken requests from couples looking for threesome chats and men with unusual fetishes, including knees and elbows. Occasionally, women call in too, though rarely.
As the industry moved from TV to online cams, Lori adapted. She now works just two shifts a week and enjoys more freedom and flexibility, often traveling to visit her dad in Thailand.

She sees the new digital model as empowering and better for performers, giving them more control over their schedules and income.
Despite her long run, Lori knows her Babestation days won’t last forever but isn’t ruling out staying in the game if the beauty industry keeps up. For now, she’s proud to still be doing what she loves and grateful to the fans who have stuck with her.
