Amber ‘Sweetheart’ Johanssen, a 37-year-old Swedish model and influencer with nearly 500,000 Instagram followers (@amberjsweetheart), has opened up about the loneliness behind her online fame.

Despite making $60,000 a month from her content, she says she hasn’t been on a proper date or had sex in two years not by choice, but because men are too intimidated to approach her.

Amber believes her job and public persona are a major turn-off for potential partners, saying, “Men have told me they don’t take me seriously and would be embarrassed to be with me.”

She’s tried dating apps but often gets mistaken for a catfish or faces awkward encounters when men discover her adult content. “It feels like they’re only interested in sleeping with me, not getting to know the real me,” she said.

Her most recent attempt at dating ended in disappointment when a man cancelled on her last minute, which she believes was due to her looks and success.

Despite being open about her active sex drive, she says finding a genuine romantic connection has been incredibly difficult.

Amber, who now prefers British men over Swedish ones, says she’s looking for someone kind, intelligent, generous, and with good manners.

She admitted she’s turned off by the 50/50 culture in Sweden when it comes to paying for dates and finds British charm much more appealing. “I love British men! I love their accent and cheeky ways,” she said.

Recently, Amber asked her followers on Instagram if they’d date her and the response was overwhelmingly positive.

Still, she hasn’t taken anyone up on the offer, explaining that dating online is complicated when people already have preconceived notions about her.

She hopes to find love offline with someone who sees beyond her public image. “I would love to find a ‘normal’ man who accepts me for who I am,” she said. “It might be difficult because of my job, but I won’t stop looking for Mr Right.”
