A 27-year-old TikTok creator has gone viral for her brutally honest dating advice, calling out the delusional mindsets and ego-driven habits she says are holding people back from real relationships.

Zoey Sinn, an influencer from Los Angeles with 248,000 followers, is gaining attention for her straight-talking tips especially her controversial view that you should always assume your ex can do better.

Frustrated by the flood of “fluffy” dating advice online, Zoey is pushing for more accountability.

People are so consumed with others’ actions, thinking, ‘He’ll never find a girl like me.’ But he will someone who suits him better. And that’s okay,” she told NudeNewz.

Her no-nonsense approach has sparked debate and applause online, racking up over 98,000 views and 16,000 likes on a now-viral clip. Here are her four main rules for navigating modern dating without losing your mind or your dignity.

1. Make a list of what you want and become it.
Zoey says many people are drawn to emotionally unavailable partners because they see changing them as a personal win. “You’re not in love, you’re chasing validation,” she says. “Move on. Stop dating people you think you can fix.”

2. Don’t assume they can’t do better.
She challenges the common post-breakup mantra, “He’ll never find better.” Her response? “He will. And it doesn’t diminish your worth.” Playing hard to get or using mind games won’t build real connection, she says. “Games have winners and they end.”

3. Know the difference between wanting and valuing.
Zoey insists that people already know when someone genuinely values them, but ignore the signs because “it feels good.” Her advice? “Do what’s right, not what’s easy and that usually means work and growth.”

4. Don’t let heartbreak change who you are.
“You were sweet before him. Stay sweet after him,” she says. “If he changes your character, he wins.” Instead of turning cold or jaded, she urges women to hold on to their kindness and self-respect.

Zoey says much of the advice being pushed online today comes from “a hurt and bitter place,” and urges her followers to think critically about who they’re listening to. “Misery loves company, and we’re falling into that trap,” she warned.

The blunt advice has struck a chord with fans. Comments range from praise (“GIRL! Yesss!”) to admiration for her honesty. “That last point needs to be beaten into everyone’s head,” one user wrote, while another added, “I’m not even dating, but I’m taking notes.”

Zoey isn’t selling a fantasy she’s offering a wake-up call.
