A professional trapeze artist who dreamed of joining a travelling circus has revealed how she transformed her acrobatic skills into a lucrative online career earning up to £80,000 monthly.
Hannah James, 26, dropped out of her performing arts degree after becoming frustrated with student debt and limited career prospects.
Now the former clown performs daily shows online complete with professional lighting, smoke machines, pole dancing and costume changes for tens of thousands of viewers.
The Manchester native, who now lives in Spain with her two Maine Coon cats, has made over £792,000 since launching her account in November 2019.

“Every day I have a countdown and then a red curtain opens on-screen to reveal my show,” Hannah, who has over 220,000 Twitter followers, told NudeNewz.
“My followers watch my streamed shows where I drop down into the splits and play with kinky toys and then talk to me afterwards on OnlyFans just like a traditional stage door meet-and-greet at the theatre.”
From Childhood Dreams to Reality Check
Hannah grew up dreaming of performing glamorous acrobatics and contortion acts in a modern travelling circus.
Her mother enrolled her in circus school to channel her “hyper energy” into something productive.
The performer said: “I grew up with parents who lived a hippie lifestyle, we travelled around living on a bus, so they inspired me to think outside of the box in that respect.”
Her unconventional upbringing gave her freedom and independence but limited financial resources.
“Living this way gave me such freedom and independence, my parents encouraged us to make our own mistakes and push the boundaries,” she explained.
“I really respect that about my upbringing but we didn’t have much money, so I think that gave me a drive to build a life for myself that was a mix of the same freedom that I experienced growing up with the financial freedom that I desired too.”

The Pivot Point

Hannah’s journey into online content creation began out of financial necessity during her studies.
She became dissatisfied with her “paltry student loan” and lack of free time while pursuing her performing arts degree.
“I learned how to use my natural energy and stage presence to build a career, but I got impatient and that’s when I started performing on webcam sites to pay my rent and bills,” she said.
Her circus training gave her a unique advantage in the online space.
“I found that the sexy knots I could tie myself into were a huge hit with my audience,” Hannah explained.
“I earned good money, I could earn over $1,000 in a show by bending and flexing online.”
The success convinced her to abandon traditional circus aspirations entirely.
Creating Her Online Circus
Hannah’s shows are elaborate productions that rival professional stage performances.
Each daily stream features theatrical elements including countdown timers, red curtain reveals, professional lighting, and smoke machines.
She incorporates her circus skills – splits, contortion, and acrobatics – alongside pole dancing and multiple costume changes.

The performer has also created viral moments with outrageous stunts and challenges.
“I always have so many crazy ideas and my fans love to help me to achieve them,” she said.
“I have cracked 1,000 eggs over myself, I’ve slingshot 300 pumpkins from my balcony and completed a hot dog challenge that involved me sitting in a paddling pool as my assistant poured 1,000 hot dogs over my head.”
The hot dog stunt left a lasting impression – literally.
Hannah added: “I stank of wieners for days and still gag whenever I smell tinned hot dogs.”
The Financial Transformation
Since launching her account in November 2019, Hannah’s career exploded almost overnight.
She now earns between £40,000-£80,000 per month, a dramatic increase from what traditional circus work could offer.
The 26-year-old has made over £792,000 ($1 million) in total, which she’s invested wisely in property, cryptocurrency, and sports cars.

Most importantly, she’s paid off the student debt that plagued her during her degree.
“My performing arts degree left me in tens of thousands of debt and it offered me limited career prospects,” Hannah said.
“I have been able to pay my debt off with ease once focusing full-time on live streaming.”
Like other performers who’ve found financial freedom through online platforms, Hannah has used her earnings to secure her future while maintaining creative control.

Building Community
Beyond the financial success, Hannah values the community she’s built with her audience over eight years.
She describes many of her long-term viewers as genuine friends who support her beyond just watching performances.
“All the people I have performed for over the last eight years, I’d consider some true friends,” she said.

“They wish me happy birthday, check up on me, we have each other’s backs if anyone needs help.
“There are people who I turn to for advice now who started off watching me dance around in my underwear.”
This community aspect has transformed what could be transactional interactions into meaningful relationships.
Life in Spain
Hannah, who describes herself as a “loner” outside of family socialising, now lives in Spain with her two Maine Coon cats, Zedd and Zairah.
The move to Spain gives her better weather for outdoor content creation and a lower cost of living than the UK.

She’s currently single and focused on growing her business while enjoying the lifestyle she’s created.
The performer works from home, maintaining complete control over her schedule and creative direction.
Creative Freedom
For Hannah, the biggest advantage of her current career is unlimited creative control.
Unlike traditional circus performers who must follow directors’ visions, she decides everything about her shows.
“I dreamed of a free and flexible working life that was full of fun and that’s what I thought the circus could give me but now I have all of that and total control of my time,” she said.
She can experiment with different acts, stunts, and performances without needing approval from anyone.
The interactive nature of her shows also allows her to respond to audience suggestions and requests.
Breaking Conventional Career Paths
Hannah knew from an early age that traditional employment wasn’t for her.
“I knew from an early age that a conventional 9 to five wasn’t for me and I used my circus-style shows and stage performances to stand out,” she said.
Her unique combination of legitimate circus skills with online content creation carved out a distinctive niche.
The performer’s success demonstrates how traditional performance skills can translate to digital platforms in unexpected ways.
Future Plans
Hannah wants to help other women succeed in the same space by launching a coaching programme.
She believes her experience navigating the platform while maintaining theatrical production values could benefit others.
The performer has no plans to return to traditional circus work or complete her performing arts degree.
Her current career provides everything she wanted from circus life – performance, creativity, audience engagement – with added financial stability.
The Economics of Online Performance
Hannah’s income far exceeds what most circus performers earn.

Traditional circus artists typically earn modest salaries and face irregular work schedules based on touring seasons.
The physical demands of circus performance also limit career longevity, whereas online content can continue indefinitely.
Hannah’s business model allows her to scale her audience globally rather than being limited to whoever attends a particular show.
Student Debt Crisis
Hannah’s story highlights broader issues with performing arts education and career outcomes.
She invested tens of thousands in a degree that offered “limited career prospects” in her field.
Many performing arts graduates face similar situations – significant debt but insufficient earning potential to justify the investment.
Her alternative path demonstrates that formal education isn’t always necessary for performance careers.
Maintaining Skills
Despite not working in traditional circus, Hannah maintains her acrobatic and contortion abilities through daily performances.
Her shows require the same physical conditioning as professional circus work.
The performer continues developing new skills and tricks to keep her content fresh and engaging.
Her circus training remains central to her brand and what differentiates her from other creators.
The Stigma Factor
Hannah’s career choice challenges societal expectations about how performers should use their skills.
Some might view her pivot as “wasting” her circus training, but she’s found financial success and creative fulfilment.
The performer’s openness about her work demonstrates changing attitudes toward online content creation.
Her family’s hippie background and emphasis on independence likely contributed to her comfort with unconventional choices.
