A former hairdresser who swapped her scissors for a career as a dominatrix has revealed her most unusual service yet – locking clients in chastity cages and rolling a dice to decide how many days they stay locked up.
Serene Sinz, 25, spent nearly a decade doing hair before diving into London’s kink scene and building a booming career in domination and adult content.
Now the creator – who has more than 27,000 followers on Instagram @serenesinz – says her favourite request involves a client, a cage and a serious element of chance.

“My favourite crazy one is that I lock one of my clients in a chastity cage during a session,” said Serene. “He’s tied up and bound, and then we roll two dice to decide how many days he’s locked up for before I post him the key.”
“He pays me for the days he’s locked up, even though I’m the one rolling the dice, and I post the key on the last day.”
The postal system, she says, only adds to the fun.
“Sometimes it comes the next day, and sometimes I’ve posted it and it’s not there for four days,” she said. “One time it took four days and he said, ‘It’s not as hot when the postman is holding your key.'”
So popular is the game that Serene is upgrading her equipment.
“We’ve been using two six-sided dice, but sometimes I roll it again because I want more days,” she said. “So I’m going to buy a different dice now with bigger numbers on it.”
Serene’s route into the industry was worlds away from the salon. She had been a hairdresser since the age of 16 and says she had “only ever done hairdressing” – until a break-up left her questioning everything.
“I broke up with an ex and sat there for about four months thinking, what is going on with my life? This isn’t the route I’m supposed to take,” she said. “Then I joined the kink scene in London, met a lot of people in the industry and thought, why am I slaving away on my feet all day? I wanted to be like them.”
A lifelong fascination with the taboo, she says, made it feel like the natural fit.
“Kink and taboo stuff was always a big thing in my life,” she said. “I think sex and kink shouldn’t be taboo – that’s what I thought was so cool about it.”
The switch has transformed her lifestyle, giving her a freedom her old job never could.
“I’ve got so much more energy, and full-time now doesn’t feel like full-time did back then,” she said. “If I decide one day I don’t want to work, I don’t. I can go shopping or go to a spa whenever I want.”
“I worked out that I only have to work two days to cover my rent and bills,” she said. “My boyfriend said, ‘You realise people work for £13 an hour and a whole month to pay their rent?’ I was like, yeah, but two days still feels like a lot.”
That said, Serene insists the job is far from effortless.
“It’s still work – you’ve always got to be on social media and reply to people,” she said. “For some reason it just doesn’t feel like work to me. I love my life and I’m very grateful. The only thing I hate is the admin.”
Her family, she says, have been firmly in her corner.
“My mum and dad just said, do whatever you want, as long as you’re earning money and you’re happy,” she said. “My dad literally said, ‘Take the men’s money, take it.’ My closest friends said, ‘This is so you – it’s probably what you should have been doing.'”
Her older brother initially struggled with her career, though she says the pair are now “reconciling”.
Having built her following steadily, Serene has strong advice for anyone hoping to follow in her footsteps.
“You’ve got to be so on the socials, on as many platforms as you can – that’s your advertisement,” she said. “The biggest mistakes new creators make are not using all the platforms, not being consistent, and thinking it’s going to be a lot less work than it is.”
She credits her success to building an audience before she even had anything to sell.
“I did my marketing before I had things to sell, even though it wasn’t earning me money yet,” she said. “I built the platform first, and then it was easy to monetise.”
Above all, Serene hopes to change the way people think about kink.
“We need to stop being so taboo about sex and kink,” she said. “If someone wants to do whatever they want, why are you judging them when you’ve probably got some weird thing you’re not telling anyone about? The people who judge are the weird ones doing it in secret.”
As for what’s next, Serene is moving house this week with a fellow creator – and has big plans for one room in particular.
“I’m moving out and focusing more on online work,” she said. “The new house has a garage, and I’m going to turn it into my dungeon filming space. We went for that house because of the garage.”
From cutting hair to calling the shots, Serene has no doubt she made the right decision.
“If I started again today, I’d change nothing,” she said. “Everyone’s growth is their own journey.”
