A woman raised in a strict Catholic household where discussing intimacy was forbidden has built a successful online writing business with her husband’s support.

Lizette Reynoso, 36, grew up with rigid rules about modesty and behaviour but now earns thousands monthly as an author creating custom stories for clients.

The Canadian writer, who has 79,800 Instagram followers, launched her account just over a year ago with encouragement from her husband Omar, 41.

Her career represents a dramatic departure from her religious upbringing where discussing relationships was considered taboo.

“I grew up in a strict Catholic household,” Lizette told NudeNewz.

“We never talked about it in my family.”

A Restrictive Upbringing

Lizette’s childhood involved stringent rules governing her behaviour and appearance.

“When puberty hit, things got confusing; I was given stricter rules, like told what to wear and who I could be friends with,” she said.

The restrictions extended to controlling her social circle and clothing choices.

Young Lizette began questioning the religious teachings she’d been raised with.

“I also began to question things about my religion, like why and how Mary was a virgin, why women had to hide their bodies,” she explained.

The questioning created internal conflict between her natural curiosity and religious expectations.

“I definitely had ‘Catholic guilt’ for a long time,” Lizette admitted.

She found outlets for exploration despite the restrictions.

“So I would read stories in secret, that’s how I explored,” she said.

Meeting Omar

Lizette met her husband Omar seven years ago, finding a partner who supports her autonomy.

The couple married and built a relationship based on openness and mutual respect.

Omar, 41, would eventually become instrumental in Lizette’s career development.

His support contrasts sharply with the controlling environment of her upbringing.

The Business Launch

The idea to monetize Lizette’s writing emerged unexpectedly.

“The account started a bit randomly; Omar and I were taking photos for fun and he joked that I should do it,” she said.

“Suddenly we both went silent, it just felt right.”

Lizette, known to her audience as Amor Next Door, launched her platform just over a year ago.

The first two months proved challenging financially.

“Didn’t make much in the first two months and says the site can be very hit-and-miss,” she explained.

Eventually she identified her niche: custom storytelling for clients.

Like other writers who’ve found success in digital marketplaces, Lizette discovered that specialized content creation could generate substantial income.

Writing as a Profession

Lizette is an author who creates custom stories for clients worldwide.

She can earn up to £1,600 per story commissioned by fans.

The content ranges from everyday scenarios to fantasy genres including science fiction themes featuring vampires, spies, and popular franchise characters like Star Wars or Star Trek.

“Many of my fans enjoy writing too, we’ll send stories back and forth to each other, I love what they come up with,” she said.

The collaborative nature creates community among her audience.

Omar’s Role

Omar serves as Lizette’s photographer, handling the visual aspects of her business.

“Omar is completely supportive of my career,” Lizette said.

“He is actually my photographer and it’s because of him that I feel safe enough to do this.”

His involvement provides both practical support and emotional security.

Omar explained his perspective: “It took some time to get used to her success, but I know this is a way for her to have fun and explore and I want her to be happy.

“That, in turn, makes me happy.”

The couple’s collaborative approach strengthens their partnership.

Writing History Together

Lizette’s current career evolved from writing she’d done privately for Omar.

“After I got married, I started writing stories of my own for Omar and he loved them – it helped us stay connected while he was away on business,” she explained.

The writing served as connection during his business travel.

“And now I share stories with men all over the world,” she added.

What began as personal expression has become professional work.

Family Dynamics

Lizette’s mother remains a devout Catholic, creating potential tension around her daughter’s career.

The pair have established a “don’t ask, don’t tell” relationship to maintain their bond.

“My mum doesn’t ask too many questions about it and out of respect for her religious beliefs, I don’t offer too many details,” Lizette said.

Her father passed away four years ago and never knew about her career path.

“My dad never knew about it; he passed away four years ago,” she said.

Beyond her mother, Lizette has shared her work with close friends.

“Other than that, I have only recently told my inner circle and they have all been supportive,” she explained.

Religious Identity Evolution

Lizette no longer identifies as Catholic despite her upbringing.

“I’m not Catholic anymore,” she stated clearly.

However, she maintains appreciation for certain aspects of her religious education.

“I appreciate a lot of the morals that I learned growing up, about being a good person, but I don’t practice,” she explained.

Her current spiritual identity differs from organized religion.

“I consider myself more spiritual,” Lizette added.

The evolution represents her claiming autonomy over her beliefs and values.

Overcoming Catholic Guilt

The “Catholic guilt” Lizette experienced for years has dissipated.

Her business success represents freedom from internalized shame about natural human interests.

Many people raised in strict religious environments struggle with similar feelings well into adulthood.

Lizette’s openness about this journey may resonate with others navigating similar transitions.

The Creative Process

As an author, Lizette’s creative work demands imagination and writing skill.

She crafts narratives across multiple genres to satisfy diverse client preferences.

The fantasy elements – vampires, spies, science fiction settings – require world-building abilities.

Her background secretly reading stories during her restricted youth developed her literary interests.

Now she’s professionally pursuing what was once forbidden.

Business Growth

After slow initial months, Lizette has built a sustainable income stream.

At up to £1,600 per custom story, she’s created a lucrative writing career.

The direct-to-consumer model eliminates traditional publishing industry gatekeepers.

Her 79,800 Instagram followers provide a potential client base.

Relationship Enhancement

Lizette credits her work with strengthening her marriage to Omar.

“It has taken it to a whole new level,” she said.

“I love how he looks at me when he takes my photos. It’s very primal.”

The creative collaboration has deepened their connection.

“And my creative juices are always stirred up with all the writing I do,” Lizette explained.

Omar’s support and participation create shared experiences rather than secrecy or tension.

Modern Catholic Women

Lizette’s story reflects broader trends of people raised in strict religious households choosing different paths as adults.

Many struggle with reconciling childhood teachings with adult autonomy.

The journey from restriction to self-determination requires processing internalized beliefs.

Lizette’s success demonstrates that leaving restrictive environments can lead to fulfillment and prosperity.

The Power of Supportive Partnerships

Omar’s encouragement proved crucial to Lizette’s career launch and success.

His willingness to participate rather than obstruct created possibilities.

Many people face partner resistance when pursuing unconventional careers.

The couple’s collaborative approach provides a model for supporting each other’s growth.

Finding Her Voice

From a childhood where certain topics were forbidden to a career built on storytelling, Lizette has claimed her voice.

The irony isn’t lost – the girl who couldn’t discuss relationships now writes professionally about them.

Her journey from restriction to expression represents reclaiming what was denied.

“I love what they come up with,” she said about her collaborative writing with clients, emphasizing the joy she finds in her work.
