A pastry chef who was earning £11 an hour in a restaurant kitchen has revealed she made £330,600 ($451,000 USD) in a single month online – after discovering by accident that men would pay to watch her sniff her own armpits.
Kimberly Sanchez trained in baking and pastry straight out of school and spent her early twenties as the only woman in a kitchen full of men.
That month came in 2020 and it remains her record month to this day.

“It was just men wanting me to sniff my armpits, or just show them my armpits on camera, and I was like, you know what? I’m down for this,” said Kimberly, who has 1 million followers on Instagram as @officialcheekykim.
“I didn’t realise that was such a big thing.
“OnlyFans taught me so much about fetishes. I’m like, what is that? But okay, let’s roll with that.”
Men would pay her to sniff her armpits on camera, or simply to show them off, and some would pay £730 ($1,000 USD) for a single minute of it.
She said: “In 2020 you could do the bare minimum and make a lot of money, like with the sniffing stuff.
“You want me to sniff my armpits for £730 for a minute? Sure, I can definitely do that.
“Now I’m probably a little desensitised to it. I’m not surprised when something comes up. I’m like, yeah, just another new fetish, why not?”
The 25-year-old found it entirely by chance. She originally started posting dance videos in bikinis, she noticed a pattern in who was watching.
She said: “Not purposefully, but some of the routines, you know, you’re putting your arms up.
“And that’s when I learned there was a big sniffing fetish type of thing, which is when I first started making money, because people loved armpits.”
Before any of it, she was in a professional kitchen and hating it.
She said: “Right after high school I went to culinary school and I majored in baking and pastry.
“I was literally always the only girl working in the restaurant and I started to hate it. It just felt uncomfortable.
“They’re kind of mean to you when you’re the only girl doing pastry and the rest are men.
“It was like £11 an hour, and that’s not really much, especially if I wasn’t getting 40 hours a week.”
She first came across the platform on Twitter and tried it, then lost her nerve.
She said: “I’ve always been comfortable with my sexuality, with myself in general. So I dabbled into it.
“But then it was a worry of, oh my god, what if somebody sees me? A sister, a brother, somebody.
What brought her back was watching other women succeed, and once she committed the numbers moved fast. Her monthly price was set at £26 at the time, a figure she picked more or less at random.
She said: “I was like, you know what, I’m just gonna do it. I didn’t know what to put.
“So it was subscribers plus people wanting sniffing content, and it was incredible.
“I was like, I’m gonna buy a house. What is going on here?”
Custom armpit videos were the big earner, with new subscribers piling in on top.
She said: “It was £330,600 that I made off of just customs from sniffing armpits, and then the mass amount of people who would subscribe.”
Today she shares what she calls “our beautiful house” with her four dogs and says she got there without help from anyone.
She said: “I’m just so grateful, and I did it by myself. No one is helping me.”
Now based in Los Angeles, US, she has around 42,000 paying fans – and a running joke with her friends about what that actually means.
She said: “I always say I have 42,000 boyfriends I have to take care of.
“They’re really important to me. I have to keep in touch with them. I’m literally always on my phone.
Remarkably, she answers all of it herself. She has tried management twice and refuses to use it again.
She said: “I refuse to have any type of OnlyFans management. All that money is going to me and that’s it.
“They say they’re gonna do more than they’re actually gonna do. I’m the one bringing in the subscribers. I’m doing the content.
“My personality is always gonna be better than theirs.”
One moment in particular convinced her. It came when she admitted to a manager that she was too anxious to take an opportunity.
She said: “He just said, well just don’t be nervous.
“Oh, why didn’t I think of that? I should have thought of that.”
These days she is steering the whole brand somewhere unexpected, and back towards the thing she trained for. She films a bikini cooking series on YouTube, shot outdoors on a wood-fired oven she bought without knowing how to use it.
She said: “I’m trying to make cooking sexy again. Woman in the kitchen, dressing up, cute wifey energy.
“If you watch the beginning episodes they’re not the best, because I didn’t know how to use my oven.
“But now I’m a pro. I’m grilling up in a bikini. It’s just fun.”
It has not slowed her down. She has bought a content house she is still doing up, with plans to fill it with other cooking creators, and is putting together a recipe calendar with QR codes linking to the dishes.
She said: “I want these girls coming. I want us to be having twerking cooking competitions.
“You grow with people who are like-minded with you.”
For all the bravado, the thing she says holds her back most is her own head. She describes herself as an anxious person since childhood, and says the job has made it worse rather than better.
She said: “Honestly it’s just myself. It always comes back to my anxiety.
“Sometimes I don’t take opportunities. I’m my biggest critic, hardest on myself.
“I love everything that’s come for me, I’m grateful for every opportunity, but my anxiety has gone up.”
She has spent the year deliberately pushing against it, with meditation, breathing exercises and therapy.
She said: “Normally I would have probably just ignored the message for this interview. I wouldn’t have done it last year.
“This is the year of yes. You want me to do something? Okay, I’m gonna try.
“And if it sucked, at least I tried.”
