Brits’ private online interests have taken an eyebrow-raising turn, according to fresh data revealing the nation’s sauciest search habits – and it turns out that preferences vary wildly depending on where you live.
The study, released on September 22 by long-running adult webcam platform Babestation, lifts the lid on the UK’s most popular adult content categories – and some of the results are far from predictable.
Despite the increasing diversity in what people are watching, one search term continues to dominate: “UK models” is the top go-to across the country for a quick fix of local adult content.

Babestation, which has been broadcasting risqué live cam shows since 2002, found that viewers still have a strong preference for homegrown talent, even as new, more niche categories gain traction in specific cities.
Take London, for instance. Viewers in the capital are keeping things relatively straightforward, with “lesbian” content reigning supreme. Meanwhile, in Birmingham, there’s a noticeable foot fetish trend, with “feet” content standing out as the most searched.
Up north in Leeds, it’s the more mature genre that’s capturing attention – specifically “grannies”, which has now overtaken even the long-time favourite “lesbians” in popularity. Yorkshire as a region is officially leading the charge when it comes to lusting after OAPs online.
In Manchester, the city’s open-minded reputation is reflected in the data, with “threesomes” topping the chart, suggesting viewers are leaning into fantasies involving multiple partners. Over in Liverpool, where students make up a sizable chunk of the population, the “college” category is proving to be the biggest draw.
Interestingly, while there’s been a noticeable surge in interest in older performers, the once-dominant “MILFs” category has slipped slightly in popularity, falling from fourth place in 2024 to fifth this year.
Babestation says this shift may be a sign that audiences are veering away from traditional tropes and gravitating towards fresher, more adventurous preferences.
A spokesperson for the platform commented: “UK models continue to dominate the charts, proving that Brits love to keep it local when it comes to their late-night fantasies. But the real surprise this year is that grannies have overtaken lesbians. It shows just how adventurous viewers are getting.
“MILFs slipping down the list also suggests that the classic fantasies might be making way for newer trends. These differences highlight how varied – and cheeky – Britain’s viewing habits really are.
“Looking ahead, we expect to see more demand for authentic, couple-led content and a growing interest in performers who blur the line between influencer and adult star. Body-specific categories, like big boobs, are also bouncing back, proving that tastes may change, but some things never go out of fashion.”
