Beth Bennett went from pulling pints for pennies to pocketing five figures a month all by turning late night conversations into a highly lucrative career.

The 39-year-old former pub worker, originally from New Zealand and now based in London, is one of Babestation’s longest standing call agents. She’s spent the last 13 years talking dirty to men on live adult TV, a job she not only loves but one that’s changed her life completely.

Back when she was pouring pints in a local pub, Beth was earning a mere £180 for 60 hours of work. “I used to be shattered, constantly on my feet, getting hit on by drunk blokes for nothing,” she said. “Now, I’m basically doing the same thing just on my own terms and getting paid properly for it.”

Her break into the adult industry came somewhat by accident, thanks to a newspaper ad her mum spotted during Beth’s university days.

My mum saw a listing looking for dancers and sent it to me thinking it was a bit of fun,” she recalled. “Turned out it was for a strip club and while I was hesitant, I realised I could probably outshine the girls already working there.”

That gig ended up paying more than any graduate job she could find at the time, especially in New Zealand, where entry-level advertising roles paid around £16,000 a year.

After moving to the UK on a work visa, she took on bar work but quickly grew tired of the low pay and constant unwanted attention. Spotting Babestation on TV one night was the turning point. “I was glued to it,” she said. “It felt so wild watching these women talking dirty to callers on live television.

Then I saw the banner at the bottom of the screen asking, ‘Do you think you could be a Babe?’ and I was like yeah, I think I can.”

Beth applied that night and was soon accepted onto the Babestation apprentice programme, eventually earning herself a prime-time slot and expanding to work on the channel’s more explicit offshoot, BSX.

Her first month of proper shifts saw her rake in £2,500 from just eight nights of work and she’s since scaled that to five figures per month while working just three or four nights a week from 10pm to 5am.

Now living comfortably with her husband in London, Beth balances her adult career with daily life walking her dog, filming content, and planning holidays.

Her flexible income has taken her across the globe, including trips to Australia, New Zealand, Las Vegas, and Thailand. Next up are Japan and Florida, all funded by phone calls that start innocently and veer into fantasy.

“The job gives me freedom,” she said. “I choose my hours, I’m not being touched by anyone, and I get to be my own boss. I’ve always been good at talking, and on Babestation, the men are already interested. All I have to do is keep the conversation going.”

Despite her success, Beth runs her entire operation solo from styling and marketing herself to creating and managing her content. And while some might scoff at her career choice, she sees it as a smart move built on her own terms.

There’s no producer, no script, no director,” she said. “It’s all me. And I’d much rather be doing this than working five days a week in an office or being flirted with for free behind a bar.”

She has no plans to slow down any time soon. “I’ll keep going until the calls stop,” she said. “I enjoy what I do, and I’ve never done this out of desperation. It’s always been a choice and it’s the best one I ever made.”
