A Newcastle creator says her ex-boyfriend unknowingly set her up for success after suggesting they start an OnlyFans together.
Katy Shutt, from Newcastle upon Tyne, says the relationship did not last, but the idea stuck and eventually became her full-time income.
“I can’t quite remember exactly how OnlyFans came up, but the plan was for us to have an OF account together,” Katy told NudeNewz.
“That didn’t end up happening, but I did create an account for my solo use.”
At the time, Katy was working in the nightlife industry as a hostess and podium dancer, before later retraining as a personal trainer.
“I was working in the nightlife industry in Newcastle as a hostess and also as a podium dancer,” she said.
“Being on the podium definitely gave me confidence performing in front of people.”
Katy launched her page in mid-2022 but admits she treated it casually at first.
“I started in July or August 2022, but I didn’t really start taking it seriously until the start of 2025,” she said.
That decision quickly paid off.
“My increase in income has allowed me to release myself from a negative financial situation, which I am super super grateful for,” Katy said.
Over time, she carved out a clear brand built around connection rather than shock value.
“I want my fans to get the girlfriend experience from me,” she said.
“I make a lot of my content in that style, with the exception of roleplays or customs.”
Katy says the feedback she values most is about how she treats her fans.
“The feedback from my fans is always that I am extremely kind to them,” she said.
“I also have a few tricks up my sleeve when it comes to the type of content I produce.”
Despite her success, Katy has always had one firm rule.
“When it comes to my boundaries, I’ve always been a solo creator,” she said.
But that is about to change.
“However, this is changing very very soon!!!” she added.
The shift marks a big moment for Katy, who has spent years building her page independently.
Not everyone in her life accepted her career choice.
“There was one person with very very strong opinions who called me every name you can think of,” she said.
“Needless to say, I don’t have contact with that family member anymore.”
Her friends, however, reacted differently.
“My friends were more curious,” she said.
“They asked how my work was going, which I appreciate as I feel like no one actually asks OF creators how work is going.”
Katy says the reality of content creation surprised her.
“I underestimated how much work was actually needed to be a content creator,” she said.
“But I’d honestly say that my life has changed for the better.”
The flexibility has been one of the biggest perks.
“I get to work from wherever I want,” she said.
“The benefits outweigh the negatives for me.”
As she prepares to step outside her long-held boundary, Katy says she is proud of how far she has come on her own.
“What started as a couples idea turned into my own career,” she said.
“My lifestyle is very positive, and I feel very peaceful in my day-to-day life.”
