A former student nurse who used to live paycheque-to-paycheque has revealed she now strips online to support her mum while she fights cancer – earning a staggering $100,000 a month.
Nicole Desmond, 34, from California, US, spends her days sharing seductive photos and videos of herself online, including on her private Instagram (@ndesmond143_2), where she has 326,000 followers.
At first, she started her unusual career path to give her children a better life – but just months after opening an OnlyFans account, her mum Patty was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that had spread to her liver and lungs.
Unfortunately, Patty was so ill that she had to stop working, which meant she wasn’t able to support herself financially.
Luckily, Nicole was able to step in to provide for her mum thanks to the bumper pay packets from her OnlyFans account.

Nicole has been able to cover all financial expenses for her mum – who is now thriving, despite the odds.
Patty, who was diagnosed in October 2019 and spent most of 2020 undergoing treatment alone due to the pandemic, also moved in with her daughter and grandchildren, aged 16 and nine.
Nearly losing her mum
The journey hasn’t been easy for Nicole, who has had to balance caring for her critically ill mother with continuing her nursing studies and building her modelling career.
“Last year, I had to force myself to accept I was going to lose her,” Nicole told NudeNewz.
“A doctor went into her room while she was sick and alone (we couldn’t visit due to Covid) and told her she only had six months to live if her cancer continued to progress the way it was going.
“She was deteriorating, but miraculously turned around.
“The idea that I would lose her nearly broke me.”
Before Covid and cancer, Patty worked as a housekeeper in hospital – but Nicole refused to let her return to work after her diagnosis.
“It was too dangerous with her reduced immune system and I didn’t like the idea of her having to do such a physical job,” Nicole said.
“I’m so grateful to be able to provide this support for my mum.”
Caring for her at her lowest

During the worst periods of Patty’s illness, Nicole became her mother’s full-time carer – a role that tested her strength in ways she never imagined.
“During one period, mum was so ill that she couldn’t eat, she couldn’t stop throwing up, she couldn’t even get from her bed to the bathroom,” Nicole said.
“I was having to physically assist her and shower her.
“My mum is extremely modest and proud. She has always put on a brave face for me.
“Then, suddenly, she was so frail and vulnerable. I knew how bad she was suffering.
“I would just go into my shower at the end of the day and cry every night, praying that she would get better.”
Nicole recently graduated as a student nurse and cares for her mum during the day, all the while continuing her modelling career to pull in the cash to be able to look after her family.
But the emotional toll throughout the journey has at times been very difficult.
Staying strong for everyone
Nicole says she had to hide her fear and grief from both her children and her mother to keep the family functioning.
“I had to be strong during the day because I knew how scared my children were and they needed me to continue to hold everything together,” she said.
“But at night, my worst fears of losing mum felt so real and I’d let the tears fall.
“It was so hard to stay strong but I knew if I were to lose it or break down in front of the kids and my mum, then everyone else would really panic.
“I’m the glue of my little family and I’m extremely proud to be able to provide a life for them.
“Thanks to OnlyFans we are financially stable and have a very fruitful life.”
From poverty to prosperity

Before starting OnlyFans in April 2019, Nicole was a hospital secretary and medical student, supporting her family on just $2,500 a month.
Now she takes home close to $100,000 monthly – a transformation that has changed everything for her family.
“I set myself up on OnlyFans after I saw the buzz about the site online,” she said.
“I was in debt at the time and working as a secretary, as well as pursuing my goal to become a nurse.
“I would get behind in bills just to provide the kids with decent school clothes and supplies so they didn’t have to deal with bullies.
“Some days I’d have to go without a decent meal so they could eat.”
Nicole says she grew up in poverty and was determined not to repeat that cycle with her own children.
“I hated every minute of it, I grew up in poverty and told myself I wouldn’t go down that path,” she said.
“I worked hard to be better and never gave up. I would always put their needs first and if that meant getting them food and me going without that’s what I would do.”
Support from unexpected places
A mum-of-two herself, Nicole is open about her life with her followers and has even utilised her OnlyFans to get information about colon cancer.
She says her subscribers support her emotionally through what has been a difficult time.
“My fans know about my mum and the good ones are always checking in to see how she’s doing,” Nicole said.
“When my mum was really ill, I even connected with an oncologist fan who was such a huge help to me during that time with his vast knowledge and recommendations when I was so frightened.”
The connection with a medical professional through the platform helped Nicole navigate her mother’s treatment when she felt most overwhelmed and scared.
This unexpected source of support highlights how OnlyFans has become more than just an income stream for Nicole – it’s also provided her with a community during one of the darkest periods of her life.
Finishing what she started

Despite her success as a model, Nicole continued to study with the goal to one day put her nursing degree to good use.
“I’d made all this money but I couldn’t quit the nursing program, I’d been working my ass off for years to accomplish my goal of becoming a nurse,” she said.
“I had to see it through.
“Nursing school was the hardest few years of my life, especially with mum being sick, but I did it.”
Her determination to complete her nursing degree while caring for her dying mother and building a six-figure OnlyFans career speaks to the work ethic that has driven Nicole throughout her life.
Her mum’s reaction
Patty doesn’t judge her daughter’s career choice and supports her completely.
“When she found out about what I was doing she just said I am fully grown and able to make my own decisions,” Nicole said.
“She does care for the kids as needed to support my business. She is very grateful and very appreciative of how I can take care of her.
“We have always been close. I know she would do anything for her children and grandchildren and me for her.”
The mutual support between mother and daughter has been crucial to both women surviving this difficult period.
Patty helps with childcare when Nicole is working, while Nicole covers all of her mother’s living expenses and medical costs.
Planning for the future

Nicole is unsure if she will return to her healthcare career if and when she leaves OnlyFans.
But she has been able to future-proof her family’s finances by topping up their savings and retirement accounts, as well as contributing to college savings for her children.
Long-term, Nicole has goals of purchasing an investment property and investing more into real estate.
But for now, she is happy entertaining her followers and making a lot of money doing it.
The financial security she’s built means that whatever happens with her mother’s health, the family won’t face the additional stress of money worries.
The fight continues
As for Patty, she is not in remission but the family is hopeful.
“Mum’s cancer is still there so we are continuing to fight. It’s not terminal at this time, but not in remission either,” Nicole said.
“She’s been through three rounds of chemo and radiation but she’s so strong and is determined to keep fighting.
“At the moment she has scans every few months to see if it spreads.
“She is not very vocal about her feelings and emotions and holds it all down but I know she is scared to death.
“But I’ll do whatever I can to get her through this.”
Despite the uncertainty, Patty has defied the dire six-month prognosis she received and continues to live with her daughter and grandchildren.
A mother’s gratitude

Patty herself spoke about how difficult it has been to navigate her diagnosis while being supported by her daughter’s unconventional career.
“I find it hard to talk about my diagnosis but I am so thankful to be with the kids and Nicole and to have their support at such a hard time in my life,” Patty said.
“OnlyFans is not something I could personally do but I don’t judge anyone’s career path. If they like it and are happy, that’s none of my business.
“I’m proud of Nicole for building the life she has with her children and for never giving up. I see how hard she works.”
Breaking the poverty cycle
Nicole’s story reflects the experiences of many OnlyFans creators who turn to the platform out of financial desperation rather than choice.
For Nicole, the decision to share explicit content online came from the same place as her decision to skip meals so her children could eat – a determination to give her family a better life than she had growing up.
The platform has allowed her to break the cycle of poverty she experienced as a child and provide not just for her children but for her critically ill mother as well.
The cost of American healthcare

Nicole’s situation also highlights the devastating financial impact of serious illness in the United States, where healthcare costs can quickly bankrupt families.
Patty’s inability to work combined with ongoing medical expenses created a crisis that Nicole’s OnlyFans income has been able to solve.
Without that income stream, the family would likely have faced impossible choices between Patty’s treatment and basic living expenses.
What nursing school taught her
Nicole’s nursing education has likely helped her provide better care for her mother throughout the cancer treatment.
Understanding medical terminology, treatment protocols, and how to communicate with healthcare providers would have been invaluable during Patty’s illness.
The irony that Nicole had to leave traditional healthcare work to afford caring for a sick family member isn’t lost – her nursing skills are being used, just not in the way she originally intended.
A family united

Throughout the ordeal, Nicole’s children have watched their mother work multiple jobs, complete a nursing degree, and care for their grandmother while she fights for her life.
The lessons about resilience, sacrifice, and family loyalty are ones they’ll carry with them – regardless of how they feel about their mother’s career choices.
For now, the family remains together under one roof, with Nicole as the financial provider, Patty helping with the grandchildren despite her illness, and everyone hoping for better scan results at the next check-up.
