A former Catholic schoolgirl who started selling adult content from her mum’s basement to fund visits from her long-distance boyfriend now runs a thriving career helping lonely fans feel less alone.
Kyrie Odonnell, 27, launched her OnlyFans during lockdown after the man she was dating encouraged her to try it – so he could afford to come and see her.
Working at a beauty retailer at the time, the goth model needed extra income and took the plunge while living downstairs from her religious mother.

Within six months, she had earned enough to move out on her own.
Now the self-described “ethereal gothic fetishist” creates whimsical and kinky content for her growing fanbase – and says connecting with supporters is what drives her most.
“So many people are lonely these days,” said Kyrie, @kyrie_koffin.
“I want my supporters to feel good about spending money on my content.
“I want people to feel connected to me.
“Supporting real people in the industry is so much better than going onto the hub or something.”
Kyrie’s upbringing was far removed from the world she now inhabits.
She attended Catholic school from kindergarten through to ninth grade before switching to art school – only to be moved again when her parents felt she was “changing too much”.
After finishing her education, she drifted through various jobs including retail and housekeeping at a retirement home, where she worked in the memory care unit.
She said: “I think no matter what you do in life it doesn’t matter just as long as you’re happy.
“That includes adult content.”
When the pandemic hit, Kyrie found herself back at her mother’s house with limited options.
Her long-distance boyfriend, who lived out of state, suggested OnlyFans as a way for them to see each other more often.
She said: “He encouraged me to do it because then he’d be able to come visit me.
“I started OF while living in my mum’s basement and moved out on my own like half a year later because of OnlyFans.”
Now based in Minneapolis, Kyrie describes her brand as playful and kinky, with a gothic twist.
She creates cosplay content – including a Vampirella video she is particularly proud of – and collaborates with other creators.
Despite her bold online persona, she insists her real life is surprisingly ordinary.
She said: “I think I actually live a pretty humble lifestyle.
“It looks flashy online but I’m just a regular girl.”
Kyrie says she is open-minded when it comes to fan requests but has clear boundaries.
She said: “I just do what I like and if I get requests that are outside of my boundaries I’ll simply decline.
“Bodily fluids is a no for me and some extreme kinks but I’m still pretty open-minded I think.”
One of the strangest requests she has received came from a man processing a painful breakup.
She said: “Some man wanted me to roleplay as his ex-girlfriend cheating on him.
“He was coping with the fact that he actually did get cheated on.
“That was interesting.”
Her family’s reaction to her career has been mixed.
She said: “My family is somewhat supportive but of course they think I’m capable of so much more.”
Kyrie admits the industry comes with challenges – including stigma and people trying to take advantage of her success.
She took a break from OnlyFans for years while working as a social media coordinator and pursuing other interests, but has since returned and says the platform is now performing better than it did in 2020.
Her goals for the next year include hitting 100,000 Instagram followers and eventually buying a house.
She said: “Do your research.
“It’s not that easy, there is absolutely a stigma, predatory people will want to piggyback on your success.
“But if you really want to put your all into it, treat it like a full-time job.
“You will be fine.”
