A former NHS worker who turned to OnlyFans after struggling with low wages during the Covid pandemic says her life has completely changed and she now even has her own gin made for fans to buy.

Lisa Ross, from North Lanarkshire, Scotland, was working in the health service when she decided she needed a change as the cost of living continued to rise.

The creator says moving into adult content gave her the chance to take control of her income, though she insists the job involves far more work than people realise.

“The cost of living and poor wages were the main reasons I started,” said Lisa.

“It’s been massive for me. Life is so much better and more fun.

“But people have no idea how long the hours are you need to work to be successful doing this.”

Lisa describes her brand as “fun, outgoing, demanding and a bit wild” and says she refuses to stick to one specific niche.

“I just do what I feel like at any given time,” she said.

“People often try to push me into a certain niche but I’m not one for being pigeonholed.”

Like many creators, she regularly receives unusual requests from fans.

“I’ve been asked by a guy to dress as a pig with a pig mask and oink,” she said.

“Which is a bit out there, but each to their own.”

Before launching her page, Lisa was working on the frontline during the pandemic, but she says OnlyFans offered a way to build a more stable financial future.

Despite the freedom it has given her, she says success on the platform requires serious commitment.

“It’s not more free time,” she said.

“People have no idea how long the hours are that you need to work to be successful doing this.”

Her career has also led to an unusual business opportunity. Lisa has recently launched her own gin for fans to purchase.

“My goal is to continue to grow and find new experiences along the way,” she said.

“Like now, I’ve got a gin made from me for fans to purchase.”

While the reaction from people around her has been mostly positive, she says not everyone has been supportive.

“Most have been great, very proud and supportive,” she said.

“But unfortunately you always get the negative ones as well.”

Despite her bold online persona, Lisa says fans are often surprised to learn she is quite shy in real life.

“I am actually quite shy in person,” she said.

Looking ahead, she hopes to keep growing her brand and exploring new opportunities.

Her advice to anyone thinking about starting on OnlyFans is simple.

“Make sure this is the type of work you want to do,” she said.

“Don’t think about the money but about whether you’ll enjoy it, because if you don’t you won’t do well.”
