A former stripper who shot to viral fame with X-rated Old Firm football content has revealed how she went from a university student living a double life to a Scottish “local celebrity” – buying a five-bedroom converted church along the way.
Lana Wolf was studying at St Andrews University and stripping on the side when the pandemic sent her OnlyFans career soaring.
But it was a cheeky nod to Scotland’s fiercest football rivalry that truly made her name, after she filmed herself in a Rangers kit getting the better of a fan in a Celtic top.
“I was one of the first girls to really do anything football-related,” said Lana. “I was in a Rangers kit and I pegged a guy in a Celtic kit – it’s the most humiliating thing you can do to a guy. I filmed it in the two kits and it went super, super viral. I became known as the girl that pegged Celtic, so I became a bit of a Rangers legend.”
The viral hit was quickly followed by an even bigger one – a football-themed group video.
“I did a football orgy where we had four or five Rangers girls and four or five Celtic girls, with red cards and injuries,” she said. “It was really funny and it went insanely viral too.”
Since then, Lana says, her notoriety has taken on a life of its own.
“Once you’re known for something, when you do other things they tend to go viral,” she said. “I had a really viral photo during the Euros, and I ended up on podcasts in Finland and all sorts. It was insane.”
These days she is such a fixture of the Scottish scene that she has even been written into a stage show.
“There’s even now a football-themed comedy show – Rangers versus Celtic – and they mention me in it by name,” she said. “I went to see the play and couldn’t believe I was mentioned so casually, as if everyone watching just knows who I am.”
Her success has also allowed her to branch out into music. This year she released a football World Cup “makina” track and performed it at a fan zone in Magaluf.
“I’ve always had a good voice, but it’s always been a secret,” she said. “This year I wanted to surprise everyone and show I might have a bit of talent outside the adult industry. I released my first makina song and we’re working on a second one.”
The money, she says, has completely transformed her lifestyle – she has bought a five-bedroom converted church and is about to buy a horse.
“I’ve bought my house, which is a five-bedroom converted church, so it’s stunning, and I’m about to buy a horse,” she said. “I’ve got a very chill life and the money’s really good. My life has changed in a lot of positive ways.”
A vocal champion of her industry, Lana says she wishes more people would follow her lead.
“I really advocate for the sex industry,” she said. “In a world where everyone is online scrolling their phones, having passive income online is amazing. I can’t believe more people don’t do it.”
Her path there was anything but ordinary. Before OnlyFans, Lana stripped in clubs from Magaluf and Tenerife to New York – all while holding down an unlikely day job.
“I had a Christian charity shop job, so I was going to church and then stripping at the weekend – a bit of a double life,” she said. “I quit the Christian job just before lockdown. Then lockdown hit and my OnlyFans blew up.”
Away from the camera, Lana is a self-confessed “adrenaline junkie” who loves horse riding and scuba diving – and jokes her figure gives her an unexpected advantage in the water.
“I’m a scuba diver and I always joke that my boobs make me extra buoyant,” she said. “I even learned to do dry-suit diving in Scotland – it’s the most unglamorous outfit ever.”
She is candid, too, that the job comes with its challenges, and says she has been refused entry and asked to leave venues on football trips after being wrongly accused of soliciting.
“I’ve been asked to leave because they thought I was prostituting myself, and I wasn’t – I was just chatting to fans,” she said. “There’s a lot of stigma. It’s the people who complain about it who secretly watch the content anyway.”
She adds that relationships have also been tricky.
“I’ve had ex-boyfriends who stole money from me and never really respected what I do,” she said. “They start off saying they think it’s hot, then they don’t want you to keep doing it.”
As for the strangest fan requests, Lana says her football fame attracts some oddly specific demands.
“I get a lot of requests to destroy football tops or flags, but that’s a line I won’t cross,” she said. “And I’ve got one guy with a huge thing about Connect 4 – he sends me a link to play him online, lets me win, then says, ‘I can’t believe you beat me, I’m pathetic.’ I’m like, what happened in your childhood to be getting off on Connect 4?”
With music, media and a growing property portfolio, Lana is determined to prove there is far more to her than meets the eye.
“Even the music, it’s all about branching out and showing people you’re more than just a set of boobs,” she said. “Though there’s nothing wrong with showing them all the time either.”
