A former au pair has revealed the moment she realised her life had changed for good – settling into a business class seat on a flight to Bali, years after living on $600 a month.
Erzabel, 30, says she now earns up to $100,000 a month and travels to a new country almost every month, always booking business class when she flies long haul.
But the model, who has more than 800,000 Instagram followers at @erzabelx, spent years on a tight budget while working and looking after children in the Netherlands.
“I always dreamed of travelling the world,” she said.
“I’ve been manifesting it since I was in elementary school. I remember writing in my journal that I wanted to travel the world comfortably.
“I didn’t know how I was going to make it happen, but I always believed I could.”
The flight that made it real
The moment it landed for her was not a payout or a follower count. It was a seat.
She said: “The first time I flew business class was to Bali, and I kept thinking, ‘Is this really my life?’
“It wasn’t just about flying business class, but everything that it represented and how far I’d come.”
Creators often describe a single, oddly specific purchase as the point the change became believable – a seat, a set of keys, a bill paid without checking the balance first. The number in the bank tends to arrive well before the feeling does.

There is a less glamorous side that rarely makes the caption. Constant travel means unstable routines, patchy internet in the places that photograph best, and time zones that do not care when an audience expects to hear from you. “I’m very grateful for everything I’ve achieved.”
It is worth noting that hers is an outlier outcome rather than a template. Earnings on subscription platforms are heavily concentrated at the top, and a single video reaching 42 million views is not something a creator can plan for. Consistency is the part that is actually within anyone’s control – which is, to be fair, exactly what she said.
