Most people mark retirement with a gold watch and a cruise. DD White marked hers by launching an OnlyFans.
The 72-year-old great-grandmother of eight, who co-founded a manufacturing company that started in the family garage, now creates adult content with her husband and sees it as her retirement plan, according to TMZ.
And she’s not dabbling. She has nearly 35,000 Instagram followers, her own website and, TMZ reports, four AVN Award nominations.
From circuit boards to content
DD’s first career was about as far from OnlyFans as you can get. She helped build that business from the ground up and did everything from soldering circuit boards to running the books.
“I didn’t want to have to hire anybody,” she explained on The Lexis Star Show, as reported by Morning Honey. She kept handling the accounts until she was 65.
She and her Italian husband have been married for around 40 years, having met at a Ladies Night at a disco. According to TMZ, the couple were swingers early in their marriage, stepped back while they raised their blended family, then picked it up again once their children and grandchildren were grown.
A hobby that became a business
What started as a shared hobby, with the pair posting videos to swinger sites, quickly drew a following. TMZ reports that men kept asking to meet her, and the couple decided the demand was worth building on properly.
They set up their own couple-run site and profile, and DD has now launched on OnlyFans. Her website, DDWhiteXX.com, launched on 17 July 2026, according to XBIZ, as cited by IBTimes UK.
Her earnings haven’t been disclosed, and IBTimes UK notes that neither her OnlyFans income nor her website revenue has been independently verified.
It’s worth noticing the order she did things in. Audience first, then her own site, then a subscription platform. That’s a founder’s instinct, and it’s a very different story from the “pensioner joins OnlyFans” punchline some outlets have gone for.
The silver creator boom
DD is part of a wave that keeps getting bigger. Baywatch star Erika Eleniak joined at 56 and is on track for $1 million in her first year. Knots Landing legend Donna Mills signed up at 85. We’ve also looked at why so many Gen-X actresses are quietly joining.
The difference is that DD isn’t a Hollywood name. She’s a businesswoman and grandmother who built an audience from scratch, which arguably makes her story more relatable, not less.
There’s a money logic to it too. OnlyFans paid creators around $6.2 billion in the year to November 2025, according to Financial Times reporting on its latest accounts. Mature creators are a long-established niche on fan platforms, and the celebrity launches above suggest the demand goes well beyond novelty value.
There’s a bigger point here as well. Women of DD’s age are so often expected to fade quietly into the background. Building a business on being seen, on her own terms and with her husband of four decades alongside her, is a pretty emphatic answer to that.
What other creators can take from this
- Niche is an asset. Age, a long marriage, a real backstory: the things outsiders might laugh at are often exactly what a loyal audience is paying for.
- Don’t build on rented land. DD has her own site as well as OnlyFans. If a platform changes its rules or closes an account, a direct channel to fans is a lifeline.
- Treat it like the business it is. She ran the accounts at her old company for decades. Creators of any age should keep records, put money aside for tax and think about the long term. Our guide to retirement planning for creators is a good place to start.
- Couples content is a category of its own. Fans often respond to real chemistry, and two people can share the workload.
Retirement, DD White style: no slippers required.
